BESPOKE
At Benney, we have a long tradition of producing unique works of both jewellery and silverware for our clients. Over the last six decades, we have crafted over 100 commissions for The Royal Family, designs for locations such as St Paul’s Cathedral, and bespoke jewellery for those wanting to bring their personality into their collections. The Process
1
Initial Enquiry
You’re now in a position where you have decided that you would like to discuss an idea you have for a piece of unique jewellery or for some personalised silverware.
Next, you can contact us directly to arrange a first discussion, during which we will talk through potential designs and options.
4
Manufacturing
Our craftsmen will now begin making your piece. The time required for the manufacturing process will depend on the complexity of your design.
1-3 months for gold or silver pieces with simple stone settings or a single enamel colour.
3-6 months for complex pieces with intricate engraving or multi-coloured enamel work.
6 months+ for large silverware designs that require multiple stages of manufacturing, including heavy soldering, gilding and challenging polishing.
2
First Design
Every stage of the commission process is bespoke, and at this point we will provide you with some initial drawings to help bring your idea to life.
We will now visually iterate on the concept together during an ongoing collaboration.
5
Delivery
As we near the completion of your commission, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date. When possible, we prefer to hand deliver our bespoke work, however, we are also able to ship by fully insured post if that is your preference. For buyers outside the UK, we will fulfil orders via Express DHL shipping with taxes already covered.
3
Concept Confirmed
Once you are happy with the design, we will create a detailed 3D render so that you are able to understand the shape and depth of the object.
After any final adjustments have been confirmed, we will confirm the design, provide a final quote, and move on to manufacturing.
6
Care
We offer a complimentary lifetime repair and maintenance service for all our bespoke pieces. In the rare instance where there is an issue with your purchase, or if you would simply like us to assist with cleaning or polishing, you are able to contact us directly to arrange both collection and redelivery.
